Project of the Week: The Northern sits at the northern tip of Albania, designed to feel like part of the mountain itself. Created by@chrisprechtand@studioprecht, in collaboration with@w10_architects, it blends architecture with the wild landscape. Its terraced shape and natural materials make it appear as though it has been carved from stone. Curved brick balconies and soft edges give it the feel of a vessel resting on the cliffs.

You reach it by a winding road through forest and rock, where nature and architecture begin to blur. The building steps back in layers, creating open terraces that face the sea. Located in Shengjin, it offers sweeping Adriatic views and combines simple forms with rich textures—calm, timeless, and rooted in place.
