현지 언론과 항공 추적 데이터에 따르면, 멕시코시티 국제공항에서 애틀랜타행 델타 항공 여객기와 도착하는 아에로멕시코 항공기가 충돌할 뻔한 사고가 발생했다고 합니다. 부상자는 보고되지 않았습니다.
이 사건은 월요일 오전 7시 30분경 멕시코시티의 주요 공항인 베니토 후아레스 국제공항에서 발생했습니다. FlightRadar24 의 데이터에 따르면 , 아에로멕시코 커넥트 1631편은 델타 항공 590편이 같은 활주로에서 이륙을 준비하는 동안 최종 접근 중이었습니다.
재생 영상에는 아에로멕시코 항공기가 델타 항공기가 착륙하는 모습을 저공 비행하는 모습이 담겨 있었습니다. 출발을 위해 줄을 서 있던 델타 항공기는 이륙을 중단한 후 게이트로 복귀하는 것으로 보였습니다.

A Delta flight from Los Angeles to Atlanta experienced a mid-air engine fire Friday; all 226 passengers and nine crew members were safely deplaned, and an investigation is underway.
Two separate Delta regional flights were disrupted after passengers attempted to open emergency exit doors mid-flight, including one case where the individual also tried to rush the cockpit.
A Delta Connection flight in Minot, North Dakota, had to perform a go-around to avoid a B-52 bomber on the runway; no injuries were reported in any of the incidents.
