다이아몬드 헤드의 Am I Evil? 입니다. 1980년애 발표된 밴드의 전설적인 데뷔 앨범인 화이트 앨범에 수록된 곡이고, 메탈리카의 커버로 더욱 유명해진 곡이기도 합니다. 그리고 2010년 불가리아의 소피아 라이브에서 스래시 메탈을 대표하는 네 밴드가 함께 연주함으로써 스레시 메탈을 대표하는 곡이 되기도 했습니다.

이 노래의 내용은 어머니가 마녀라는 죄목으로 산채로 화형당한 한 남자의 이야기입니다. 남자는 이 범죄에 관여한 27명을 전부 살해하고 자신이 악한 자인지를 묻는... 그런 내용입니다.

당연히 그 종교의 독실한 분들은 질겁을 하는 내용이고, 솔직히 고백하자면 제게는 꽤나 심술궂고 반항적이었던 까까머리 소싯적에 이곡의 매력도 제대로 모르면서 그 종교분들을 괴롭히기 위해 대놓고 틀어댔던 곡이기도 합니다. 그렇게 듣다보니 이곡의 매력에 빠지게 되었다는... 뭐 그런 얘기죠. ㅋ

부일 매국노들, 1차내란범들과 2차내란을 일으키고있는 판새놈들을 처형하는 날 듣고 싶은 노래 중 하나입니다.  그날, 누군가 공동체의 적들을 처리한 책임을 묻는다면 이 가사처럼 대답할겁니다.  Am I evil?  Yes I am!
